Selects a quote server and returns executionServer for the subsequent execution request. Use the returned values rather than assuming the original pair orientation: smart routing can invert the pair and side. The server display name is not a route parameter.
Requires Trading access; invited users need the BROKER policy. A quote request does not execute a trade. Saved quotes can be submitted using the execute endpoint. On server-three OTC, create defaults to true and supported create:false previews do not return quoteID. Merchant always requests quote creation; smart routing can select Merchant, so do not rely on smart create:false as a universal preview.
Displayed OTC lifetime on server-three is seven minutes. RFQ formatters commonly display five seconds, while acceptance checks differ by server/provider. The exact RFQ validity policy is under review; a displayed deadline or Opened status is not a guarantee that execution will succeed. Server availability, pair support, balance and credit checks still apply.
